This book describes a few of my previous
inventions and discoveries, some of which are still on the market in various
forms. Some of these have made other people wealthy and many others have faded
into oblivion or never even made it into group consciousness.
Some other inventions under development now and
many others have yet to be developed and may not ever manifest. Some are too
impossible or far out to create, and many others are just spring board notions
that may or may not lead to anything worthwhile.
My focus has never been on making money. And
the business aspect is rather dull to me, though I have two years of business
correspondence education. As well as an M.S. in physics, Ph. D. in psychology,
lots of traveling hither and yon, that is, in the United States and in a dozen
other countries. Only about two of the ideas described in this book are
original. They are merely improvements on other people’s ideas or notions
stimulated by comments or suggestions made by others. Often other
people have stimulated some thoughts in me to make some gadget or embark
upon some project and they did not even know it.
The inventions
are approximately described in this book in order of importance and ease of
completion. Either they are already in use, although on a small scale, or ready
to manufacture and market. I have had a lack of money or motivation to market
them properly. Perhaps you know someone who would like to form a partnership
with me on one, some, or all of these products.
This book shows
possible inventions in the important areas of cleaner air, batteries using
cheaper materials, and making water from basic elements. Growing food is an
important project which many people are working on. I personally grow sprouts
of all kinds to augment my food supply. I have no inventions on growing
food, but I have noticed that some human intervention may be possible by almost
everyone. In the appendix are two short notes about communicating or
influencing nature, or some parts of nature. (“Communicating With Ants” and a
“Apple Tree”)
People may
eventually learn to bypass the need for ‘food’ and receive nourishment from the
Sun, water, and air, just as plants do. This has been done already by a few
pioneering individuals. (Hira Ratan Manek is one person already
living on sunlight). A local man claimed he was doing this but was seen
scarfing a cheeseburger one day. Oh well, I love chocolate chip cookies!
There is no patent on these ideas; the purpose
for writing this book is for you, dear reader, to take some of the ideas that
interest you and develop and market them. Take what interests you most and
gallop with it in your own way. If eventually you should make a lot of money
from them, I would appreciate a little so I can develop some new ideas. It’s
play for me. Let it be play for you too!
In Chapter I there are a few tips on how to be
creative, largely from the work of people on creativity who started Synectics,
Inc. in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This is the most
important thing that you can learn from this book.
